Dubai’s Biggest metro Leap yet
Dubai’s transport future took a bold step on June 9, 2025 around 2:00 PM, as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum laid the foundation for the ambitious Metro Blue Line. This 56 Billion AED undertaking will carve a 30 km route deep into Dubai’s developing heart, stretching the city’s total metro length to 131 km. But this is more than track and steel, it’s the future stitched into every turn, connecting life, work, learning, and leisure with seamless ease.
Among the marvels rising from this project is the world’s highest metro station, standing proud at 74 meters. Designed by the same minds behind the Burj Khalifa, this station isn’t just tall , it’s a modern monument. Below, a first of its-kind metro bridge will cross Dubai Creek, passing 1.3 km thread tying two shores and two futures together.
